33 weeks

Best moment of the week:  I think I’ve been able to feel Little Man’s feet several times this week.  How cool is that?
Baby bump status:  I’m really starting to feel large now, and I’m feeling really slow when I walk, too.
Baby weighs as much as:  A pineapple
Total weight gain:  20.6 pounds (change from last week: -1.6)
Maternity clothes:  I’ve outgrown my favorite pair of maternity pants.   How does this happen?!
Days until due date:  49!!!
Symptoms:  This week, I’ve often felt nauseated after supper.  I don’t know if it’s due to my prenatal vitamin (but I haven’t switched vitamins) or if Little Man is just taking up too much room now.  I also feel like my food is going to come up when doing prenatal yoga poses - YUCK.
I’ve always felt like I’ve had a small bladder and that’s been worse during pregnancy, but I think this week has gotten even worse.  If you’ve seen a picture of a baby in the womb, you understand why; the bladder in the pictures gets squished more and more each week.
Baby’s movement:  Little Man still moves around a lot.  I keep trying to get a good video of him moving around, but it never looks as cool as it does in person.  Here’s a picture of him hanging out to the left of my belly button; he gets into this position several times a day:
While not always this pronounced, his back tends to stay to the left of my belly button, and his legs and feet move around on my right side.  When he’s moving, I picture him in my belly and think he’s the cutest, silliest little thing.
New this week:  Baby D measured a bit small but within normal limits at our appointment on Monday.  The midwife said they’d keep an eye on him, and we’ll schedule another ultrasound for measurements if he continues to measure small.  I’m not too concerned since he’s within the normal range, but part of me is worried that I’ve somehow stunted his growth.
Looking forward to:  The July 4th holiday.   This should be our last holiday before Little Man arrives.  I can’t wait to dress him up for the next holiday!
Gifts this week:  Baby D’s Great Aunt Dee and Great Uncle Sonny sent him this cute stuff and a gift card.  Thanks, great aunt and uncle!
Himal’s coworker gave Little Man this precious Ralph Lauren outfit and rattle.  He’s going to be such a stylish little baby!  Thanks!
Purchases this week:  Even though we know shoes will be unnecessary for the first several months, we just couldn’t resist these tiny ones.  How cute are they?  I also couldn’t resist the little plaid bucket cap.  And how adorable will it be if he fits in these red, white, and blue overalls next July 4th

Dissertation update:  I completed 2 more interviews this week and have another set up for tomorrow.  I’ve sent the first 4 interviews off for transcription.
